Activities with Toddlers in Southern California – Gull Wings Children’s Museum

Hi all,

I love the weekend.  It not just two days off work, although I went to work for about 4 1/2 hours today, but it is two whole days to hang with my wife and two kids.  I have a son who is roughly 3 1/2 years old and a daughter a little over a  1 1/2 years old.  I love the time I get to spend with them at the parks and around the house but too often it seems my wife and I go stir crazy with the kids at home.  This is a series I plan to include in my blog in 2008.  Keep an eye out for updates.

——   Gull Wings Children’s Museum –  Oxnard, Ca ——————————————————-

Saturday after I came back home from work, it was time for a trip to a local children’s museum.  The plan was to meet up with some friends there.  We ran a little late due to some traffic caused by an accident on the freeway.  That’s the norm for Southern California although I tend to see more accidents on the weekdays than the weekends.  Our friends had left before we got there but I can understand because this children’s museum was quite small.

The name of the museum is Gull Wings Children’s Museumin Oxnard.   Admission to the museum is $4.00 for ages two and up.  The museum is rather small with a few exhibits.   My kids seem to have fun but both my wife and I did not like it.  It was rather basic and not too impressive and many of the exhibts seemed rundown and dirty. It is a very low budget place but what should I expect for $4.00 a person.   I would  not recommend it to anyone else or go there again.
