To be honest , I am so happy to see that Rio De Janeiro will host the 2016 Summer Olympics. This will be the first time that a city in South America will host an Olympics. This will be an interesting setting for the Olympic games.
To everyone who wanted to see the Olympics held in Chicago, better luck next time. I really thought Chicago had a very good shot at hosting the Olympics. I think if Rio wasn’t in the mix of cities competing to host the Olympics then Chicago would have won. I think this was an opportunity to choose a city that would make history. Choosing Rio to host the Olympics was an easy choice. The other two cities, Madrid and Tokyo, were interesting choices but I was not too excited to see either of them to host the Olympics.
I think if the US wants to land the Olympics then they should have the state of Hawaii host the Olympics. Honestly, I don’t think Hawaii has the infrastructure to handle the Olympics but it would be a great place to attempt to have it. The only other place I would like to see the Olympics held, it would be in Lithuania. There is no way Lithuania could hold an Olympics.
We have recently been playing a match game with my son.
Usually we will play with about 15 matched pairs of tiles…so a total of 30 tiles. Mix up the 30 tiles and then arrange them FACE DOWN in a 6 by 5 grid. Play starts by having one player turn over 2 tiles. If the picture of the 2 tiles is the same, the player picks up these 2 tiles and turns over 2 more. If the 2 tiles are not the same, the tiles are turned back face down in the same place they were and it is the next player’s turn. The object of the game is to remember where similar tiles are located and to pick up as many pairs as possible. The winner of the game is the one who has the most tiles at the end of the game.
The other night, our four year old son was teaching his two year old sister on how to play the game. it was so cute to watch them play. The boy was helping his sister and she did really good with his help. After they were done, my son counted out how many pairs he had and how many his sister had. Of course he won, but then he asked his sister to give him a high five for a good game played.
Moments like this is priceless. It is interesting to see the habits our kids pick up from us. After I would finish playing the game, I would always tell my son to give me a high five. After watching the kids play, my wife and I joined them for another game.
I just bought my third game for the Wii. I am always looking for fun games to play with my wife and something simple for the kids. I was not too excite when I first heard about this game for the Wii but it came with a cool steering wheel, aka the Wii Wheel.
I have played the game a few times since Sunday and it is a blast! I have to say that my wife is the MarioKart queen in my house. I don’t think I have beaten her at the game yet but I am getting better. This is a good buy for a multi player game, although, we have only played it with two players. To some people the game may be a bit simple but it is fun. I like the fact you can play other people over the Internet.
My three and half year old son plays it but does not get it yet. He is not into video games but he does try hard to play the game. On the beach level, he likes driving his kart into the ocean, he thinks it is funny. I think if he spends more time on it, he will get it. Personally, I rather him play outside than on the Wii.
My wife enjoys the game but I think it is because she keeps kicking my behind at it. i really enjoy playing this game with my wife on the Wii. We are always looking for fun games on the Wii to play together.
This is a definite buy to add to your Wii collection. The only option I wish it had is an opportunity for the user to build their own tracks. I would give this game a 4 1/2 stars out of 5.
Below I have a couple links to some cheats for MarioKart.
